In 2005 we integrated the news operation into the website and rebuilt the site from the ground up around video, audio and community. In 2006 we launched its US operation, with offices in Los Angeles and New York. That year NME.COM won the Association of Online Publishers' first Chairman's Award and the BT Digital Music Award, and Press Gazette named me one of its 50 People Shaping Online Journalism.
Strategy, product and content for BSkyB's new content division.
Founded a machine-learning news product: natural language processing that found, aggregated and made sense of content to build a live homepage for every topic.
Ran digital for the UK's largest commercial radio group, home to Capital, Heart, Classic FM, XFM and LBC: a cross-functional organization and P&L of sixty-plus people across product, content, data, marketing and engineering, in a matrix of a hundred and fifty across the country.
We launched CapitalFM.com, Heart.co.uk and ClassicFM.com. Capital's app reached the UK top ten and CapitalFM.com became one of the five largest social media brands in the country.
